The AGM of the Kentish Cat Society was held on Sunday 9th March, 2008 in the Club Room of the Otford Village Memorial Hall, High Street, Otford, Sevenoaks, Kent commencing at 3 p.m.

A minute's silence was observed in memory of our late Treasurer, Mrs. G. D. Leedham, who had served as Treasurer for well over twenty years.

The new Committee is shown on the Committee page of the website.

Trophies won at the 2007 show were presented by Mrs. Fiona Pragnell, one of our Vice-Presidents, this was followed by tea, which was well up to our usual standard, with home-made cakes, sandwiches etc.

Subscriptions for 2008 became due on 1st January and should be sent to Mrs. D. Bubb-Porter, St. Davids, 241, Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, Kent ME4 5JB.  Rates are £4 single and £6 joint.

The Hot Fork Supper this year was cancelled, but the Garden Party went ahead on 14th July.  Pictures on the Social Events page.

This was followed by presentation by Mrs. Joyce Green of trophies won at the 2006 show and then tea, which was well up to our usual standard, with home-made cakes, sandwiches etc.

Members were very generous with their donations of cat food which will be distributed among rescue groups.   The raffle was well supported and made a good contribution for the Welfare Fund.

Our AGM in 2006 was held on 2nd April at the Otford Village Memorial Hall at 3 p.m. and was followed by presentation by one of our Vice-Presidents, Mrs Joyce Green, of cups won at the Show in October, 2005 to those fully paid up cup winner members who attended the meeting.  The list of cup winners is shown below.

A very successful raffle was held for the Welfare Fund and those attending brought along a tin or two of cat food which will be given to the less fortunate cats in rescue centres.

The AGM was followed by a delicious tea, greatly enjoyed by all.
